Directions to the UT campus and Geology building from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
From the airport, go west (left) on highway 71. After about a mile, bear
right to merge onto highway 183 north.
From 183, go about 2 miles/3 km and merge onto Airport Blvd., the second
exit on the right after crossing the bridge over the Colorado River merge.
After about 3 miles/5 km (through several stop lights), turn left onto Manor Rd
(there will be a traffic light and a left-turn lane).
After about a mile/2 km on Manor, bear right onto Dean Keeton St/26th Street. Manor basically turns into Dean Keeton/26th St here, so just follow the main road.
Once on Dean Keeton/26th St., the third traffic light will be for San
Jacinto. Turn left there. On the left after about 100 meters there is a parking garage. Park there.
Walking from the parking garage, just a bit further down San Jacinto is an
intersection with 24th St. Go right onto 24th. The first thing on the
left after a small bridge is a small parking lot with 2 entrances. The
further entrance is connected to a longer driveway that goes between 2
buildings. Go to the end of this driveway. The Geology building is the
last one on the right, and the sliding glass doors lead into the basement,
where our lab is (room 1.120).
Directions to the UT campus and Geology building from I-35 South (coming from the north)
Continue on I-35 South until the highway splits into upper and lower levels after the 51st St. and Cameron Rd. exits. Remain to the left and take the lower level. If you take the upper level you will miss the exit to UT. Should this happen, turn around at the first available exit and use the directions for I-35 North below.
Remain on I-35 South until exit 235B toward Manor Rd/26th St. Take Exit 235B onto the I-35 North access road. Remain on the access road for about 0.1 mile
Make a slight right onto the ramp leading towards 26th St. Merge onto East 26th St./Dean Keeton St.
Once on Dean Keeton/26th St., the third traffic light will be for San Jacinto. Turn left there. On the left after about 100 meters there is a parking garage. Park there.

Directions to the UT campus and Geology building from I-35 North (coming from the south)
Just after you pass through downtown Austin on I-35 North the highway splits into upper and lower levels. Stay left and take the lower level. If you end up on the upper level you will pass the exit to UT. If this happens, turn around at the first available exit (Airport Blvd.), get back on I-35 South, and follow directions for I-35 South above.
Remain on I-35 North until Exit 236A towards 26th-32nd Streets. Exit onto the I-35 North access road. You will quickly need to get to the right side of the access road to take the circular ramp to 26th St. and merge onto 26th St/Dean Keeton St.
If you miss this exit, you can make a U-turn over I-35 at 32nd St., and come back to 26th St., exiting to the right.
Once on Dean Keeton/26th St., the third traffic light will be for San Jacinto. Turn left there. On the left after about 100 meters there is a parking garage. Park there.
